Weighted average cost

The one thing you can't rebuild in Shopify

When Stocky went away, so did weighted average cost. We put it back — recalculated the moment you receive a PO, then written straight to Shopify.

Your suppliers come with you

Vendor associations, products, and variants pull straight from Shopify — most stores need almost no manual setup.

2

Bulk-add, not re-type

Add every product from a vendor to a PO in one go, or upload a CSV. Quantities and costs arrive pre-filled.

3

Receive the way you used to

Partial receipts, incoming quantities pushed to Shopify, and cost updated on arrival — the Stocky workflow, intact.

Joe walks you through it personally — most stores are live the same week.

From merchants who already left Stocky

They weren't looking for a spreadsheet. They needed the workflow back.

We have just started using Inventory Mate as a replacement for Stocky. So far the app has been easy to use and does all the things we want plus loads more. The best thing about this app is the founder, Joe. He is very knowledgeable, helpful, and quick to provide support when we have questions. Additionally, this app seems to be decently customizable.

With the sunsetting of Stocky we began looking for similar options. After trying several other apps, we came across Inventory Mate and I'm so thankful. It does almost everything we were looking for and their customer service has been 1000% — they respond almost instantly, a real person and not AI, and have been able to implement the features we've requested.

My independent retail store is thrilled to have found this PO and inventory management solution at a great value, as we transition away from Stocky. Inventory Mate is straightforward, syncs all my data straight from Shopify, and provides everything I need to monitor inventory levels, manage my vendor database, write, receive, partially receive, and pay PO's.

The questions every Stocky merchant asks

Can't I just keep cost in Shopify myself?
Shopify does not maintain a perpetual weighted average when you receive stock. Native cost is typically the last purchase price you typed in. That's the gap Stocky filled — and the gap Inventory Mate writes back automatically at receipt.
Is automatic cost sync on every plan?
Automatic weighted-average sync at PO receipt is on the Unlimited plan. Every plan includes the SKU COGS report, so you can still blend costs from past POs and push them to Shopify when you're ready — including a landed-cost view.
We have a large catalog. Will it keep up?
Yes. Products and vendor associations sync from Shopify (webhooks plus a nightly pass). Bulk-add a vendor's full line to a PO, or upload a CSV. Merchants with big catalogs use this daily.
What about training? We don't have time to relearn a tool.
The receive flow is the Stocky one: draft the PO, incoming quantity hits Shopify, receive in full or in part, cost updates on arrival. Docs are live for weighted average cost. Joe still does the walkthrough himself — that's the 15-minute call.
