Shopify does not maintain a perpetual weighted average when you receive stock. Native cost is typically the last purchase price you typed in. That's the gap Stocky filled — and the gap Inventory Mate writes back automatically at receipt.

Is automatic cost sync on every plan?

Automatic weighted-average sync at PO receipt is on Growth, Scale, and Enterprise — and stays available for merchants still on the legacy Unlimited plan. Every plan includes the SKU COGS report, so you can still blend costs from past POs and push them to Shopify when you're ready — including a landed-cost view.

We have a large catalog. Will it keep up?

Yes. Products and vendor associations sync from Shopify (webhooks plus a nightly pass). Bulk-add a vendor's full line to a PO, or upload a CSV. Merchants with big catalogs use this daily.

What about training? We don't have time to relearn a tool.
